Company

Our client is a large petroleum storage and trading terminal in the Amsterdam Area. Our client is seeking tot meet candidates for the position of Project Manager Tank Maintenance & Renovation.
The terminal is one of the largest in the world and responsible for the delivery fuel to the northern part of the Benelux.
Candidate will be hired by Cataly Partners during at least a year, with the possibility to join the permanent staff of our client.

Position

The position is vacant to increase flexibility for re-certification of tanks (next 18 months). Current construction and modification projects also put a strain on the current organisation.

Tasks

• Providing leadership for renovation, maintenance shut-downs and re-certification.
• Reporting to the Benelux Integrity Manager and leader of a ‘Principal Tank Team’.
• Deliver projects on time, with good quality and within budget whilst compliance and safety are guided and assured.
• Prepare tank maintenance and inspection programmes including contracting scopes, negotiations, planning and leading the process.
• Assess technical bids (repair and modification) and negotiate scopes and costs.
• Interpretation of inspection result, translation into actions and advice for maintenance, communications with authorities and company management.
• Total budget responsibility in the next 18 months EUR 25 to 40 million.

Criteria

• Experienced in project management and/or operations/maintenance management of tankfarms and terminals (chemicals, fuel components or food)
• Available for at least 18 months and preferably fulltime.
• Background in Mechanical Engineering or comparable and additional working knowledge of project management, engineering, construction and contracting.
• Competencies: Project management, contracting, team working, performance bias, taking the lead, management, engineering and documentation.

• In accordance with the job requirements and current market situation.
